Types of Printing

There are many different type of printing methods available and they're continuing to evolve. Each type is suited to a different needs, meaning that you can choose printing technique that best highlight your products or services. So what are the different types of printing and how do they varies from each other? 


1. Pad Printing

What is pad printing? Pad printing is an indirect photogravure process. Pad printing cannot be used on material such as:

- Water bottle

- Mug


2. UV Printing

UV printing is a unique method of digital printing utilising ultraviolet (UV) light to dry or cure ink, adhesives or coating almost as soon as it hit the pen, vacuum flask, notebook - in fact, as long as it fits in the printer, the technique can be used to print on almost anything. The printing process is limited mostly to paper and card mediums, so it can’t be used on material such as:  

-  Glass

-  Foil

-  Acrylic like UV printing


3. CMYK Printing

CMYK stands for "Cyan Magenta Yellow Key(Black)” 4 Color Process (also known as CMYK) printing was developed to reproduce full-color artwork accurately when printed on white paper. It can be use on material like : 

- Silicone Wristband

- Paper

- Paper Liner Wrisband

- Tyvek Wrisband


4. Heat Transfer Printing

Heat transfer is the process of transfer of heat from high temperature reservoir to low temperature reservoir. Heat transfer is also divided into ordinary heat transfer and digital heat transfer. Available Material is : 

- Nylon

- Satin

- Eco-friendly material

- Polyester


5. Silkscreen printing

A print making technique in which a mesh cloth is stretched over a heavy wooden frame and design, painted on the screen by tusche or affixed by stencil, is printed by having a squeegee force color through the pores of the material in areas not blocked out by a glue sizing. 6. Embroidery

7. Hot Stamping 

The hot stamping process includes a hot stamping press, a hot stamping die or type, and sometimes a hot stamping foil if you choose to add color to your impression. What can hot stamping foil be used for:

8. Emboss

To emboss is to raise the surface of something. An embossed imprint is a design that is raised up from the material by pushing it through a metal plate from underneath with another plate on top. What product can be print for embossed printing is:

9. Deboss

Deboss is an imprint method that pushes a metal plate in the shape of your design, onto the front of the product material. The design is sunken or recessed into the material. What item can be use for debossed item:
